CLYBURN CENTER FOR PRIMARY HEALTH

The Aiken community has a state-of-the-art Acute Care Facility and Physicians’ Offices on the west side of Aiken and a number of Primary Care Physicians on the Southside. Downtown Aiken and Northside residents had few, if any, health-care options. A local group of health-care professionals and residents identified this need and secured land close to major thoroughfares within walking distance of Downtown. Through grants provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and assistance from Representative Bill Clyburn, funding was secured for construction of this Primary Care Facility to provide exceptional healthcare to underserved members of the community.

The 26,000 SF Clyburn Center for Primary Car includes Adult and Pediatric Medicine, an OB-GYN Department, Optometry, and Dental Care.

CLYBURN WOMENS CENTER

Aiken, SC

A need for more patient examination and treatment rooms at the Clyburn Center required construction of a new Women’s Health Facility, which will include Mammography, Ultra-Sound, and Pediatric Medicine.

Relocating the OB-GYN and Pediatric Departments to a new facility on adjacent land allows the Adult Medicine and Dental Departments to expand into existing available space in the Clyburn Center.

The New Site will allow for parking of mobile health vehicles and electric charging stations for electric vehicles.

Increasing residential growth in the Western portion of Richmond and Columbia Counties presented a need for convenient Prompt-Care in Greenpoint, a Planned Residential Community. This 12,000 SF Medical Facility will allow examination and evaluation of patients employed in businesses and service industries newly located in the area.

The street facade and exterior materials were chosen to complement and enhance the aesthetic guidelines adopted for this new development.
